Background:

Founded by Registered Psychotherapist and perinatal mental health specialist Avril Ferguson, the Institute bridges the gap between education, clinical practice, and real-world needs — supporting families and training clinicians to make a lasting impact.

Our Focus:

  • Clinical Trainings:
Specialized workshops, seminars, and programs for healthcare providers, mental health professionals, doulas, midwives, and allied professionals.
  • Professional Development:
Evidence-informed education in topics such as perinatal mental health, infant and early mental health, birth and reproductive trauma, perinatal grief and loss, and inclusive, culturally responsive care.
  • Community Advancement:
Advocacy and education initiatives designed to strengthen access to perinatal and parenting mental health support, especially in rural and underserved areas.
